Wizard Of Oz not at all like the movie!
This play was poorly done and nothing like the movie. Every line spoken was re-worded and different than the movie. This made the experience very different and not enjoyable at all. Dorothy was talented and much like her character but that was it. The nice witch was characterized as a dim witt, while in the movie she is an intelligent woman. I was also shocked by the implied dirty jokes. one being the scarecrow stalling while saying he had a poll stuck up his......back. My mother and my child were with me and my mother pointed it out stating how vulger for a childs show. The scarecrow also made reference to Dorothy's "apples". And made reference to two other women in the show dressed in black with their breasts showing. They asked him if he liked their apples and he said he "liked them just fine"! This was a tremendous waist of time and $200.00!!
